about us: daily living skills

Nationally acclaimed for its work in developing artistic talent and careers in the arts for adults with disabilities, The Enrichment Center is just one of a few organization in the country that incorporates all of the arts- dance and drama, photography, music, poetry and visual arts. We provide an avenue into the community for our artists, not as “artists with disabilities,” but as creative, talented individuals. Under the guidance of professional artists, our students earn money through the sale of visual art, and fees for performances and recordings.

Inspiring Performances
Classroom activities and productions are carefully choreographed in ways that overcome obstacles associated with various disabilities such as lack of speech, deafness, and impediments inherent with wheelchairs. Most of our public performances feature actors and dancers with and without disabilities.

Authentic Creations
In a professional studio setting, our visual artists create fresh, exciting, and original jewelry, paintings, photographs, ceramics, and multi-media pieces. Along with various exhibitions, their artwork is included in numerous corporate and private collections.

Finding A Voice
A creative writing program offers a different nuance to expression. Transcending the barriers of illiteracy, individuals use both oral and written methods.

Original Music
Primarily focusing on percussion, the Enrichment Center Percussion Ensemble is a professional music group comprised of musicians with developmental disabilities and non-disabled musicians.
